I actually had planned to try to start an informal group this summer to deepen
my/our knowledge of wild edibles. We could have recipe exchanges, organized
walks with our great local talent and so on. If you are interested, keep this
in mind and watch for an email after June 8th -the day I graduate .

Wild Man Steve Brill is, go to this site:
http://www.wildmanstevebrill.com/

he has books, etc, including a "The Wild Vegetarian" cookbook for anyone
interested.
(there's also recipes on the site).

maybe something like this could get going in Ithaca too, like it is in
Portland. I only know of a few people who know about wild edibles, but i'm sure
there's more and that's a start. i'm personally just starting to learn/read
about (currently reading "Stalking The Wild Asparagus" and for anyone
interested you can get it at the tompkins library). thanks..renada

Haven't heard of this but look up Wild Man Steve Brill from NYC to see an East
coast example.
