I heard a short reference to the ice shelf's collapse on the radio on
my morning commute yesterday but had a really difficult time trying to
find any other news coverage. Here is a link to the BBC's article.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7313264.stm

All reports that I have uncovered explain that this will not cause a
rise in sea levels, therefore, downplaying the implications of this
event. But can someone please explain what some of the real
implications are?

Thanks,

Rena
