SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR ALL:
A Social Justice and Environmental Sustainability gathering

Sustainable Tompkins and our community partners
invite you to our monthly community gathering on
Thursday, April 10, 6:00-8:00 PM, at the Human
Services Building, on 320 West State Street, in
Downtown Ithaca. Meal and Childcare are
provided. Additional potluck offerings are
invited & participants are encouraged to bring
their own table settings to minimize the clean up

Are you a resident who
ø Can't afford or chooses not to own a car?
ø Experiences many limitations,
inconveniences or feels a lack of safety getting
from place to place
ø Is a car owner concerned about rising gas
prices, and the negative impacts of traffic
congestion, sprawl, and global warming?
ø Wishes your town could implement its bike plan

Regardless of your transportation needs now, or
in the future, this event will help you:

ø Share your transportation challenges and
strategies with other residents as well as
service providers and public officials
ø Learn about new services like Rideshare,
Carshare, Ridewise, and Vanpooling, that can
substantially increase your access and choices,
and reduce costs
ø Get help from a team of service providers
in developing your own personal transportation
plan
ø Learn about exciting ideas for a more
just and sustainable transportation future in our
area and contribute your own
ø Get together with others who want to
reenergize and implement the city's bike plan
