I've always gotten bulk tableware/silverware for reuse at large
gatherings through the Student Reuse Project at Cornell University,
where at the end of the school year tons of no-longer-needed student
furnishings and household items in good condition were sold for a
fraction of the cost of new. But I just did a search of the Cornell
site, and it looks like nobody has continued the project this year. I
also don't know of a similar program at Ithaca College. The national
"Dump & Run" project, which was in Ithaca a few years ago doing the same
thing, seems to be no longer extant. Does anyone know if either of
Ithaca's campuses is doing something like this for 2008 and beyond?
