Hi Giovanni, An organized energy cooperative is a great idea. I talk to people every day who are interested in owning PV and small wind turbines. BUT. I have 4 suggestions:
1. Please use spell checker, the numerous misspellings make this email look like spam to me. 2. There is no point in monitoring a wind site for only 3 months. You need a year, or none. 3. There is no point in monitoring solar, it is all equal, you would only be monitoring shade. 4. Set up one demonstration project in a good and visible location before you get commitments from participants. I agree with Ryan about VWAT issues. Many great looking designs have come along, with no working models and demonstrations available. I get suspicious when a Google search turns up only a handful of hits. There are several models that seem promising, like GUS. http://www.tangarie.com/ I have my fingers crossed, hoping that a viable VWAT will emerge. See this article: http://www.motherearthnews.com/Renewable-Energy/2008-02-01/Wind-Power-Horizontal-and-Vertical-Axis-Wind-Turbines.aspx?page=5 THE expert in residential wind power, Mike Sagrillo, says the Mariah Windspire is the only vertical axis turbine manufacturer doing such testing. For now, their tests have won him over. http://www.mariahpower.com/ On Fri, Apr 25, 2008 at 1:32 PM, Giovanni Freesia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear friends and supporters > > Thank you for responding so enthusiastically and for being so receptive to > the initiative proposal. > This is a work in progress and your input is requested to facilitate > the implematation on a county wide basis for savings on equipment costs > as well as being united in an effort so dear to us > all,indepandance/sustanability! > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > -- Stephen C.
