Cornell Cooperative Extension will hold its 7th Annual Primitive Pursuits 
Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 4-H Acres, 418 Lower Creek Road, 
Ithaca.

Bring the family for a full day of hands-on workshops in traditional earth 
skills including: animal tracking, fire-making, bone carving, campfire 
cooking, making dream catchers, finger weaving, traditional fish hook and 
line fishing, winter wilderness survival skills, tree identification and 
more!  Presenters include: Camp Earth Connections, Earth Essentials, Hawk 
Circle, Primitive Pursuits, Thunderbird Atlatl, Wilderness Solutions, 
Wilderness Way, and more.

A primitive fire-making contest will be held at 3:00 pm; bring your 
friction kits and enter at the sign-in desk.

Chicken Bar-B-Q available 11 a.m. til gone.  Music by Thatched Hut Swarm. 
Covered pavilion available in case of rain. Information on upcoming 
programs will be available.

Registration is $5 for youth, $8 for adults, $20 for families. For more
