Greetings Emmy, My wife, Amoreena, and I, Josue, live in a beautiful 3-story home, 3600 square feet on 6 acres of rural land with panoramic views of green rolling hills and valleys in the countryside near SUNY Cortland University (7 miles/ 10 minutes), TC3 Community College (5 miles / 8 minutes), Villiage of Dryden (7 miles / 8 minutes), Ithaca College and Cornell University in Ithaca (18 miles / 20 minutes). Our home is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath home with a Jacuzzi, front and rear vista-viewing decks, fully equipped gym, extensive literary and media library, a 10-seated theater room with 7 leather-reclining chairs, 110 inch electric projector screen and six-speaker surround sound system. Laundry room equipped with new front loading washer and dryer, access to computer, 4-in-one printer and hi-speed internet, dish network TV, baseboard heating on all three floors and outdoor Bar-B-Q grill with relaxing out door furniture to take in the fresh air and enjoy the soon to be excavated 1/2 acre pond. We bought a big house with the intention to have our entire big family relocate from California, however, that did not happen, so we now have two spare rooms to rent. One has a single king-size bed fully furnished with a dresser, leather chair, free-standing floor shelf, two night stands, ceiling fan and closet. Second one is an extra large bedroom to rent for two people which is fully furnished with two new beautiful queen-size beds, new mattresses, night stand, desk and chair, dresser, two closets, 2 lamps and an apple computer. Rent is $600 for the single king size bedroom and $450 to share the larger bedroom with two queen size bed. Both includes utilities. First and last months rent required with a $100 non-refundable security deposit for a total move in price of $1,000 to $1,200. You would have access to the entire house. We are looking to rent to fellow cultural creatives that are like-minded individuals who share our same environmentally conscious values and willing to assist to grow a 1/2 to 1 acre vegetable and fruit garden with the goal of eventually becoming self-sufficient. Now here is some personal information about us: I am an artist, writer and activist. I work at home as a reporter for a local community newspaper, while my wife, Amoreena, is a full time school teacher in Cortland County. I enjoy outdoor activities like motorcycling, jogging, sledding, baseball and hot rods. My creative outlets include poetry, painting, creating sculptures, photography, drawing, conceptual and guerrilla art. I enjoy reading philosophy, history, sociology, political science, economic, cultural studies, and current events. Amoreena enjoys pop culture, reading novels and non-fiction, dance, swimming, walks, digital photography, music and family. We both enjoy documentaries, hiking, camping, theater, plays, and dinner parties. Amoreena is elementary fifth grade teacher at Virgil Elementary School.
