Dear Sustainable Tompkins: Katie Quinn Jacobs and I would like to invite folks to a meeting of key participants, movers-and-shakers who are interested in working on issues regarding the establishment of a Community Cannery. Basically, we are looking for a date and time that a small group of people wanting to push for Community Cannery can meet to begin the organizing process. We feel inspired by the energy that has already been expressed and are looking to harness in order to move toward planning and implementing the project.
Tentatively, we would like to schedule the meeting for Thursday June 12 around 5 pm. As for the location, we would like to figure one out within the next day or two... If anyone has a good meeting place (e.g. Extension Agency, Library, etc.), please step up or give us suggestions. Look forward to working on this important issue with all of you. Thanks, Ryan D.
