Dear Sustainable Tompkins Members, There will be a meeting tomorrow, Thursday June 12th at 5:00 pm regarding the planning, design, and implementation of a community cannery/kitchen operation at Mr. Thomas Shelley's home at 118 E. Court St., Ithaca, NY.
This will be an introductory meeting to look at fundamental questions including feasibility of the project, potentail funding sources, starting a business plan, who the key players are, and deciding an effective organizational/leadership structure for moving forward. Anyone interested in the concept is welcome to attend--we are especially looking for folks who are desiring to put energy into the project... Many hands make not-quite-so-heavy work!
