Hi all, Valet Bike Parking is happening for the fourth time at the Ithaca Festival! The festival is next weekend, June 20-22, Stewart Park and downtown, all three days.
And, as always, several sessions of opportunities for companionable discussion, nice-bike drooling, and satisfying community contribution are on offer. This year there is a small group coordinating the Valet Bike Parking, potentially at two sites (Stewart Park and Dewitt Park) on potentially more than one day. WE NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER for a two hour shift (or two) to know exactly how much of the weekend we will be able to do Valet Bike Parking, and at what sites. Sue Cosentini has coordinated a special web site for volunteer sign-ups: http://ithacafest.fingerlakesenvnet.org If you are able to sign up, please do so VERY SOON. This will allow us to assess our volunteer resources, set a final schedule, and do any necessary schedule reshuffling. Jennifer 351-5458 P.S. As part of the weekend's bike activities, "Cyclovia" bike routes among the weekend's festive sites (Stewart Park, Farmers' Market, and downtown) will be stenciled as well. No pressure to use these routes, just the attraction of seeing lots of bikes on these routes during the weekend.
