*Do you want to learn how to save money at the gas pump and on your
utility bills?
*Would you like to make your home healthier and reduce your impact on
the environment, but don’t know where to begin?

Then please join us for this free learning opportunity related to saving
money and conserving resources.

The Energy Efficiency Community Outreach (EECO) program offers a chance
for people to learn how to make do-it-yourself improvements to their
homes and vehicles in order to conserve resources and save money. EECO
partners with professional experts who demonstrate how to make vehicles
more fuel efficient, weatherize homes, complete easy kitchen and bath
repairs, reduce electricity bills, and make homes more comfortable.

The EECO learning circles consist of four weekly sessions taking place
in participants’ homes. The sessions of the next circle will be from
6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings from June 25-July 16.

Participants get hands-on experience learning about their homes and
cars, and for participating in the program they also receive free
materials like weather stripping and compact fluorescent light bulbs
that they can put to use. All of the sessions are free and food is
provided at each one.

This program is sponsored by the Green Resource Hub of the Finger Lakes,
a non-profit organization that seeks to expand the regional marketplace
for sustainable living through consumer education and workforce training
in energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building, and green
purchasing. EECO and the Green Resource Hub are projects of Sustainable
Tompkins.
