Gardener's "Pot Swap" this Weekend!

Are you wondering what to do with all those plastic containers from plants
you purchased this spring?

If so, there is an environmentally friendly solution. Cornell Cooperative
Extension of Tompkins County
is hosting a plastic pot swap and recycling weekend on Saturday, June 28
and Sunday June 29.

Bring plastic nursery plant containers to Cooperative Extension at 615
Willow Ave. any time during the
weekend and leave them in the designated area off the parking lot near the
greenhouse. Anyone who
needs nursery pots is welcome to take away what you can use.

On Monday morning, the plastic that is left after the weekend event will be
taken to a recycler for processing.
This is a free opportunity for gardeners to recycle their plastic plant
containers instead of throwing them away.
If you have questions, call Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County at
272-2292.
