Dear sustainability friends & local food enthusiasts, I am pleased to invite you to savor the finest foods of the Finger Lakes and enjoy a unique culinary experience on August 7th at the Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty's 3rd Annual Gourmet Harvest Dinner.
This elegant, locally sourced five-course dinner will be held in the pavilion outdoors on the stunningly beautiful grounds of Geneva on the Lake. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a wine and cheese reception featuring the finest Finger Lakes wines, artisan cheeses and fruits. Hors d'oeuvres provided by Fiddlehead Concepts Catering will accompany the reception. At 7:30 diners will be treated to a sit down five course dinner prepared by the chefs from Geneva on the Lake, Red Newt Bistro, Simply Red Lakeside Bistro, Taverna Banfi, Veraisons Restaurant at Glenora, and Watercress. Each course will be paired with two Finger Lakes wines. Appetizers Hand crafted beef and pork sausage served with green bean, watercress and pickled ramp salad drizzled with anise scented mustard vinaigrette Chevre cheese & summer vegetables baked in a puff pastry with a creamy spinach basil pesto sauce Entrée Free range roasted chicken in a lemon ginger burre blanc with sweet corn & zucchini spoon bread Bacon wrapped pork tenderloin stuffed with blueberries, chevre and arugula with a blueberry red wine sauce Organic sliced filet mignon with red norland potatoes, round baby carrots, kefir cheese, and port wine demi glace Dessert A selection of delectable desserts and a gift box of truffles Throughout the evening stories of the farmers, winemakers, specialty food producers, and chefs will be featured. A silent auction with the opportunity to bid on beautiful gift baskets and 'dinners for two' at the finest restaurants will conclude the evening.
