Bicycle being a relatively sustainable means of transportation I thought
some of you might be interested in a presentation I'll be making tomorrow,
Monday, on the Cornell campus. I recently (well, in March) got back from an
18 month trip from Argentina to Trumansburg by bicycle. I graduated from
Tburg high two years ago and left in September of that year to see something
other than academics for a while. Mostly I'll be talking about the wonderful
people I met along the way, but certainly woven in to the whole trip were
glimpses of how climate change is affecting people now. It was enough that
my anticipated major in college changed from theoretical physics to
environmental science/studies (something I'll be starting on in a couple
weeks).

The presentation will be held in Riley Robb Hall, room 400, on the Cornell
campus at 5:30 PM, Monday August 11. Riley Robb Hall is located at the
corner of Wing Drive and Campus Road not far from the intersection of Route
366 and Judd Falls Road. Go to: http://www.cornell.edu/maps/ to find a
searchable map. There is plenty of free parking (after 5 PM) for cars. There
are bicycle racks on the west and north sides of the building. The public is
invited.

Take care

Daniel
