Hi Folks
Need some extra research or person power oomph to support the
community sustainability work your group is doing?
Perhaps the bright motivated students in the Cornell Green Cities
class, who have a team research project required from Sept to
December (2-3 students, 1-2 hours /week, for 14 weeks), can help. The
could research a challenging issue you are facing and/or best
practices and case studies from other places and parallel
organizations. The research could include library and online
searches, synthesis, and analysis, online or phone surveys &
interviews, etc. These projects do not require much supervision on
your part, as long as the requirements are clear enough.
Alternatively the teams in my IC Sustainable Communities class are
require to do a more hands-on community based project (3-4 students,
4-5 hrs/week 14 weeks) where the can dig, build, interview, do
outreach or website work, etc. in a way that directly contributes to
your work and to the community. These projects require more
supervisionon your part (often but not always weekly), and modest
stipends are available for project guidance, if appropriate.
Help our upcoming leaders learn by making a positive difference.
Please submit suggestions, requests, and questions sooon!
Thanks
Elan
