How can we work together toward a sustainable future as a local community? what
will housing, transportation, medical care, education, food security - all
areas of our shared life - look like after Peak Oil?
3-4:30 this coming Sunday Bethany Schroder and Jon Bosak will bring us up to
date what TC Local's coming up with about prospects for our future.
Level Green location:
1519 Slaterville Road, valley side just past where Pine Tree intersects
Slaterville (Rt 79 East). Parking in the meadow or on the wide shoulders by
the road. If it rains we'll be in the barn; if not, in the garden. Lots of
space for kids to run around, so bring the family.
And bring your questions!
If you're new to Sustainable Tompkins, TCLocal is a group of area citizens
working to plan for a future Tompkins County in which much less energy is
available to fuel our cars, grow ourfood, and heat our homes. Every month or
two they publish an article addressing some aspect of local "energy descent"
planning on their web site, <tclocal.org>.
LEVEL GREEN - fostering sustainable community through collaborative initiatives
in hospitality, education and the arts, in the 150 year-old democratic spirit
of the Danish Folk School
