Fabric Reuse Sale Benefits Green Sewing Program

The annual SewGreen reuse sale will take place Saturday, October 18, from 11 am
to 3 pm, at the Women's Community Building, 100 West Seneca Street, Ithaca. A
benefit for SewGreen's community activities, the sale features fabric, yarn,
sewing notions, and sewing machines. SewGreen is a not-for-profit organization
that promotes sustainability through consumer education and a reuse program.
The group collects and redistributes needlecraft materials, restores older
sewing machines, and teaches self-reliant sewing skills to adults and youth.
SewGreen programs include classes, free reuse events, a teen sewing club,
mentoring, charity sewing projects, and a reuse holiday craft fair. For more
information, visit www.sew-green.org or contact coordinator Wendy Skinner,
