Survival 101 Weekend Workshop for Adults
Primitive Pursuits at Tompkins County Cooperative Extension will
offer a weekend-long Survival 101 course for adults from 5 p.m. Friday,
November 10th to 1 p.m. Sunday, November 12th at 4-H Acres on Lower Creek
Road in Ithaca. Participants will camp out for two nights. Subjects to be
covered include: survival shelter construction and use, aidless navigation
tools and techniques, obtaining and purifying water, basic primitive and
conventional fire making, and awareness exercises and routines. The course
will be taught by Primitive Pursuits staff members, Tim Drake and Jed Jordan.
