Planning a Farming Enterprise Workshop Do you have land to use for a farm or agro-forestry enterprise? Learn how to get started at this Cornell Cooperative Extension Beginning Farmer workshop, Saturdays February 7 and 14, 9 AM - 3 PM in Montour Falls.
During this two session workshop you will learn how to choose an enterprise that suits your interests and your property's capabilities, assess what you need to get started, estimate the costs involved, and figure out markets. Each session has a farmer panel sharing stories about how they got started. Following the workshop, participants can make an appointment with an Extension Farm Business Educator to receive one-one guidance to develop farm and land use plans. Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension office in Schuyler County located in Montour Falls south of the village on Route 14 in the Human Services Building. The cost to attend the workshop is $25 per person or $40 per couple from the same farm enterprise. Lunch is included in the cost of registration. For registration forms and program contact Cooperative Extension at 607-535-7161 or by email at <mailto:[email protected]>[email protected]. Pre-registration is required by February 2 so that we may provide information on topics of interest to attendees and plan for lunch numbers. _______________________________________________ For more information about sustainability in the Tompkins County area, please visit: http://www.sustainabletompkins.org/ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins Questions about the list? ask [email protected] free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org
