Hi everyone, We are excited to announce a public Open House to introduce TREE, the proposed third EcoVillage neighborhood. The event will be held Saturday, January 24th from 3-6pm at the first neighborhood Common House, 100 Rachel Carson Way. There will be a free public tour of the existing village from 3:00-4:30pm , followed by light refreshments and a short presentation and Q&A about TREE.
This is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, or colleagues whom you think might be interested in living at EcoVillage. TREE plans to build 30 very green, affordable homes and a Common House. The TREE group includes families, couples and singles, and people of different races, ages and abilities. We are united by interests in living more sustainably, sharing a strong sense of community, and being part of the overall EcoVillage at Ithaca. TREE has hired Jerry Weisburd, who designed and built the first neighborhood at EcoVillage, to be architect and development manager of the project. An initial feasibility study has been completed with good results. The group seeks more people who want to join in the planning process for the new neighborhood, including the design of the homes, and the Common House. There are financial incentives for getting involved sooner rather than later. Please feel free to come and learn more about TREE! RSVP to "[email protected]". We'll look forward to seeing you!
