This workshop will furnish information about providing an enriched environment to meet chickens' instinctive interests, needs, and activities and relevant state and local laws that protect chickens and their predators. Presentations by local experts on chicken history and behavior, veterinary care and zoonoses, animal law, shelter design specific to Minnesota climate, non-lethal predator protection and landscaping for forage. This class is appropriate for those who currently care for chickens or are considering doing so, animal control professionals, shelter staff and veterinary technicians.
