SewGreen Teams Up with Significant Elements

SewGreen is joining Significant Elements in a reuse collaboration, starting
with this month's "Free Friday," June 19, 9 am to 6 pm, at the Significant
Elements warehouse at 212 Center Street. Clean, folded, reusable fabric and
other sewing materials will be added to the architectural salvage pieces
Significant Elements is offering for free take-away.

Starting in July, items from SewGreen's "Rescued for Reuse" program -- mostly
larger pieces of fabric suitable for curtains, upholstery, and utility
projects, as well as refurbished sewing machines -- will be available for sale
at the Significant Elements warehouse store. SewGreen's fine fashion and
quilting fabrics will still be found at Tuff Soul, 516 West State Street.

Significant Elements is a program of Historic Ithaca (www.historicithaca.org),
the non-profit voice for preservation in Tompkins County and the Finger Lakes
Region. SewGreen (www.sew-green.org ) is a non-profit community program that
promotes sustainability through textile reuse and a rediscovery of sewing as a
self-reliant skill. See our website for a list of summer classes for adults and
kids.
