Sustainable Tompkins' Mini-Grants: Applications due September 1

Do you live in Tompkins County and have an idea for a project that would make
your neighborhood more self-reliant? To get a good start, consider applying for
a Sustainable Tompkins Mini-Grant. The deadline for the next round of
applications is September 1.

To help with citizen initiatives, Sustainable Tompkins disburses small grants
($150-$750) four times a year to local individuals and non-profit organizations
for projects that will improve the quality of life and long-term health of our
communities. Whether you'd like to start a bloc-wide garden or quilt, teach
self-reliance skills to others, or have another idea entirely, you're welcome
to apply. Every project should benefit the community, show specific results in
six months or less, and demonstrate community support. Application forms are
only three pages and easy to complete. For an application or more information,
contact Jan Quarles: [email protected] or 607-532-9288. Also visit
