Is it just my particular choice of information sources or is Monsanto
actually the sulfurous cabal of corporate money, hands deeply into the pants
of our government, and bent upon owning, profiting from and defiling key
agricultural products like milk and soy beans?

I may have missed any recommendations others have posted to the list and if
so I am glad to repeat any suggestion that you find where "*Food Inc.*" is
playing or get your hands on the DVD if and when it comes out You will
understand my alarm at the machinations of Monsanto. Monopolies are one of
the most egregious manifestations of human greed that have ever clutched the
levers of corporate legal advantage over our lives...but a monopoly over a
basic foodstuff is an obscene excess of that greed and scary.

The movie <http://www.foodincmovie.com/about-the-film.php>, BTW, has only
made a few showings in the Boston area, mostly in alternative rather than
big chain theaters. When it played in in Waltham, there was applause when
the credits rolled.
