Hi Sustainable Tompkins folks,

I thought some of you might be interested in this "town hall" meeting that the New World Agriculture and Ecology Group (NWAEG) at Cornell is hosting today, Tuesday Sept 15, in the Plant Science Building Room 404 at Cornell from 4-6 pm (see details below).

We have been asked for our input into the selection process for the next dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, who will begin when our current dean steps down next year. The CALS Dean is in an important leadership position that greatly influences the emphasis of research and extension at New York's land-grant. We see this as an opportunity to encourage selection of a Dean committed to environmental sustainability, social justice, and academic integrity. As a land grant college we should be dedicated to serving our local and global community, so we would love to have community voices in the discussion!

Please join us today, Tuesday, September 15, from 4-6 pm in Plant Science 404.

Peace,

Megan
