The Concert is a benefit for the Shaleshock Citizens Action Alliance
(www.shaleshock.org), a grassroots group of Finger Lakes residents who are
concerned with protecting our communities and environment from exploitation
by the energy industry in drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale.

“The most basic things we need to protect as a community are our land and
our water. Both of those things are being threatened and it's time for us,
as a community, to take a stand.” -Sim Redmond. The Sim Redmond Band

“Gas drilling threatens our current access to safe and abundant water.”
    -Lisa Wright. Shaleshock
