Upcoming meetings on gas drilling
* Legal Issues for Landowners, 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 29 at the Cornell
Vet School.
* A public information session on the DEC's gas drilling regulations, 7
p.m. Thursday Nov. 5. at the Unitarian Church, 306 N. Aurora St. in
Ithaca.
The Tompkins County Council of Governments will host the presentation
on the state dSGEIS to help citizens understand the proposed
regulations governing gas drilling and how to make their opinions heard.
* A public hearing 7 p.m. Thurs. Nov. 19, location to be determined.
The public is invited to make verbal statements and submit written
statements that the Council of Governments will submit to the DEC as
formal comments on the dSGEIS. For information on other methods of

Deadline for public comment is Nov. 30.
