** *Tompkins Community Action Hosts Toasty In Tompkins Series*
ITHACA, NY— With winter bearing down on us, Tompkins County residents will be looking for ways to button up their homes against cold drafts and high energy bills. To help prepare for the chilly months ahead, Tompkins Community Action’s Energy Services Department will be hosting *Toasty In Tompkins *– a series of informational sessions that focuses on funding options available to make energy saving improvements more affordable. The series will run throughout November and December of 2009, and take place at the Tompkins County Public Library and Greenstar Cooperative Market. At each *Toasty In Tompkins* session, Energy Services staff members will present information about energy efficiency tax credits, loans, and subsidies that ease the cost burden of expensive energy saving improvements such as insulation, new appliances, and heating systems repair or replacement. There will also be prize giveaways and energy saving tips to help attendees stay toasty all winter long.
