Two Town Hall meetings on Community Biomass Energy
Danby Town Hall Wednesday, Jan 13 at 7pm
Caroline Town Hall Saturday, Jan 16 at 11am
1.To outline initial plans for a local pelletizing and powder mill plus how
you can be involved in forming a sustainable energy company called
Community Biomass Energy.
With their new location on Boiceville Rd near Route 79
new partners from Ithaca, Caroline & Danby will speak:
Tony Nekut, Ben Boynton, and Ken White
2.To get Feedback from local residents, stakeholders, and biomass suppliers
along with your ideas for local ownership and community involvement.
And, because Renewable Energy also relies on Energy Efficiency, the meeting
also includes speakers from:
TCAction (Wednesday meeting)
and
Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services (INHS) (Saturday meeting)
who will address how to buy cost-effective, properly-sized stoves, current
federal & state tax incentives, and heat loss abatement strategies.
Please come if you live in those areas or even if you don't. We will be
having meetings in other areas of Tompkins county as well. Email if you
