Hey all,

I'm part of a Cornell environmental group bringing Assemblywoman Barbara
Lifton (D-Ithaca) to Cornell on Thursday to talk about
hydrofracking/Marcellus Shale issues and political and grassroots
solutions.Assemblywoman Lifton recently introduced “The Natural Gas
Exploration and
Extraction Liability Act of 2010,” which would hold the drilling
corporations and companies strictly responsible for all damages associated
with hydrofracking. With Cornell University agreeing to the formation of an
inclusive advisory committee of students, faculty, and staff, and on a
drilling moratorium, come to this discussion to learn what’s going on in
Albany, and see how you can help out more locally and state-wide.

Event info:

What: "Hydrofracking: Grassroots Solutions to an Environmental Challenge"
When: Thursday, February 4th, 6:00pm
Where: Goldwin Smith Lewis Auditorium (Cornell University)
Who: Assemblywoman Lifton, KyotoNOW!, community activists, and concerned
citizens discussing how to protect our health and environment.
