As detailed in this article, advocacy posing as science has done incalculable damage to the effort to halt climate change. I hope that we all remember to back up pronouncements of disaster with unimpeachable evidence when addressing this and other issues in the future. All it takes is one overblown claim to discredit an entire movement.
