So I wanted to let people know/ remind you that TOMORROW is open mic night at The Shop (312 E Seneca) I want to encourage people of all ages** to come join us. Yes! We have had a trend of people expressing themselves on the topic of hydrofracking and water. SO this month we're having a CONTEST for poems on this subject! If you have a poem on this topic but cannot attend, you can submit it anyway and someone else can read it for you. We are not sure what we will do with the collection, but please do help add to it! We will also be showing the film Frack Attack: Dawn of the Watershed which some of our poets were involved in making. The film is about 20 minutes long. Details: Friday February 12th (and every second Friday) The Shop - 312 E Seneca OPEN MIC 7pm Poetry -contest winners and short film- 9pm Music Free. Sign up when you get there. However, our poets sometimes cuss and reference adult themes. That said, I (and other parents) find the experience inspiring and very good for our kids.
