Hello ST friends,

Did you know that Tompkins County is a leader in green purchasing and
in reducing energy and waste?
Do you know about the county's innovative sustainability plan?

Come hear what the county's Sustainability Team accomplished in 2009
and what they have planned for 2010 to make our community more
sustainable and save you tax dollars in the process!

The Green Resource Hub is excited to bring you Cheryl Nelson for our
third SEEN event of 2010...

Cheryl Nelson is the Tompkins County Public Works Administrator and
chair of the Tompkins County Sustainability Team, whose mission is to
promote sustainable practices including social, environmental, and
economic stewardship to benefit future generations and to inspire
other municipalities, public and private entities, and the residents
to do the same.

The Sustainability Team is divided into sub-committees that are
established annually by the goals set forth for the team. The 2009
subcommittees included Environmentally Preferred Procurement, Green
Fleet Policy, Alternative Fuels Consortium, Energy Efficiency, Waste
