Sustainable Tompkins folks,

You are probably aware that NY State plans to close dozens of state parks and
cut back services to dozens more (including Buttermilk Falls), as part of its
attempt to close an $8.2 billion budget gap. State parks, unfortunately, cannot
speak for themselves; only the people who love them can. I have posted
information about this on our website, and what you can do to tell Albany what
you think and feel about this particular plan to save a few dollars by shutting
down paradise. Please go to http://friendsoftreman.wordpress.com/ .

Also, check the notice about the three more airings of our award-winning
documentary, Searching for the Enfield Falls Hotel,, this week exclusively on
Ithaca local cable public access channel 13: this evening, Wednesday, 7:00
p.m., and Friday, March 12 at both 5:00 pm. and 8:00 p.m.
