We're Growing Again!
The SewGreen "Rescued for Reuse" store is moving to a larger space! We will still be at the DeWitt Mall, across the hall from the inside entrance to Greenstar Oasis. We'll be closed on Monday, March 15 to set up the new space and be back in business on Tuesday, March 16.

Help Us Move
Volunteers are needed this coming Saturday from 5 to 8 pm, to pack up the store; Sunday from 3 to 6 pm, to move the shelves and fixtures; and Monday from 10 am to 5 pm, to set up the new location. If you can help during any of those times, please contact Wendy, [email protected], so we know to expect you. We need a few strong people on Sunday afternoon to move shelves and furniture!

Volunteer at the Store
The expanded space will allow us to accommodate more store volunteers. Store shifts are from 2 to 4 hours a week. The store is open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday. Responsibilities include using a cash register, preparing and stocking materials for sale (sorting, measuring, ironing), and our friendly style of customer service. We will also have a couple of sewing stations set up for making items to sell, and a small area for sewing machine repair. Training is provided, and we'll pair you with an experienced volunteer to get started. Contact Wendy, co...@sew-green for an application form and more info.

Thanks to the Community
SewGreen owes a big thank you to the many community members who have helped the store be an instant success. Your generous donations of sewing and needlecraft materials have created a fabulous resource for people who believe in reuse or are just looking for bargains. The store has also become a wonderful place for adults and youth to volunteer, or just to hang out and talk about sewing, knitting, and life in general. Proceeds from the store go to support our sewing classroom in the Women's Community Building and our not-for-profit programs for children, youth, and adults.
