Historic Ithaca Seeks Preservation Award Nominations

Every year Historic Ithaca presents awards for sensitive restoration and
preservation projects within Tompkins County. Any preservation,
restoration, rehabilitation, or adaptive use project completed within the
past 2 years may be nominated for a 2010 award. Awards will be presented at
Historic Ithaca's Annual Meeting in May. Nominations must be received by
5:00pm on Wednesday, April 28. Winning projects in the past have included a
deteriorated porch rebuilt to match the original, the restoration of a
general store in a rural hamlet, and the creative reuse of salvaged
materials to build custom cabinets. To download a nomination form, visit
www.historicithaca.org. For more information, contact Kristen Olson (607)
