apologies if this duplicates - with community at the hart of any sustainable
future, this seems appropriate to share with the ST list

Prayers for Ithaca
Tuesday March 23, 7-8 p.m.
Calvary Baptist Church
507 N. Albany St., Ithaca

As they have in the past, the congregations of Ithaca's Calvary Baptist and St.
Paul's United Methodist churches are inviting members of our community to come
together for a time of prayer, hope and healing on Tuesday, March 23 from 7-8
p.m., led by Calvary Pastor Rev. Nathaniel Wright and St. Paul's Pastor Rev.
Margie Mayson.

The recent shooting death of Shawn Greenwood and the highly-charged responses
regarding this incident have affected people at every layer of our community.
The two churches believe that when Ithacans come together in faith, solidarity,
prayer, music and reflection, steps toward progress, healing and hope for all
may be made.

We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality,
tied in a single garment of destiny.

Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.
I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be.
And you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be.
                                                         - Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr.
