Saturday, April 17, Embrace the Lake Kick-Off: 

Cleanup of three Fall Creek watershed preserves, 9 am - noon, sponsored by
DRAC (Dryden Resource Awareness Coalition), with the cooperation of the Fall
Creek Watershed Committee. 

 

Come help pick up trash in these beautiful preserves, along or near Fall
Creek in the Town of Dryden! 

Trash bags will be available. Snacks provided by Ludgate Farms.

 

.         Genung Preserve - Rte 38 just north of Freeville - Martha Ferger
will be there at 9 am as site coordinator.

.         Campbell Preserve - Corner of Pinckney and Lower Creek roads just
west of Etna - Hilary Lambert will be there at 9 am as site coordinator.

.         Etna Preserve - Rte 366 as you enter Etna, across from the old
graveyard - Margaret McCasland will be there at 9 am as site coordinator.

 

Dress for the weather, for early spring, and bring garden/yard gloves if you
gottem.

This is the kickoff cleanup for "Embrace the Lake," the Cayuga Lake
Watershed Network's 2010 campaign to encourage folks to help protect the
entire Cayuga Lake watershed by cleaning up the creek in their own backyard.
Other creek cleanups are planned around the lake for May 8 and next fall,
and we'll have more dates and locations soon. Check

waterfront cleanup. 

A cooperative venture with the Center for Environmental Sustainability and
the Floating Classroom.
