Hi,
I have a strong experience of use SVG (Adobe SVG Viewer activex)
together with VB 6...NOT .NET!
My suggestion is to use it by hosting an Internet Explorer ActiveX
placed on your form. Then the file would be viewed as any SVG
stand-alone file...
This appears tedious, but I may grant that everything is working ok.
By placing the Adobe viewer directly on the form you won't be able to
interact with the SVG DOM and the VB code: they're incompatibles.
Another way would be to host an DHTML Edit Control on the form, but (I
don't know why) the SMIL isn't working, so maybe some other interesting
stuffs too...

The IE control placed on the form that calls the SVG file is surely
stable and reliable: I'm using it in some desktop applications since the
early 2002 and I hadn't any trouble.

Moreover, this way grants you the proper use of the Adobe's license that
would forbids the direct embedding of activex in applications...
If you need a simple program to test, just let me know.
Cheers
Mario
