Jon, that is good news! Esp. with more and more SVG tiny and SVG basic viewers 
it is 
important that Illustrator can export to those profiles.

Also the viewBox and SVG font enhancements are welcome. I hope that the import 
is now 
also better when the import SVG data used a viewBox, as it is quite common with 
maps. I 
had problems importing those files with the current Illustrator version.

PS: André - as to the use of the Opera technology. That's probably esp. because 
Opera's 
strength in the small screen/mobile space. I also guess it is more because of 
the HTML/
CSS features of Opera and their SVG tiny implementation. Adobe certainly has 
more SVG 
knowledge inhouse than Opera, but Opera has good knowledge about mobile 
devices. 
Such a partnership makes sense in my opinion.
