Hi David,

the acronym ASV stands (at least on this list) for "Adobe SVG Viewer". The 
current stable 
release is version 3 and there is a technology preview 6 (which is stable in my 
opinion, but 
didn't go through a lot of QA).

Unfortunately Adobe seems to have stopped development of this viewer for now.

Fortunately browser vendores (Opera, Mozilla, Apple) are now filling the gap 
through 
native SVG support. Of course these implementations are pretty new, not feature 
complete 
and not yet optimized for speed, but already usable for many projects.
