Also you reference a gzipped scriptfile "macrodata.js.gz". If I change that to be non-gzipped it works fine in Opera 9. May I suggest you use transfer or content-encoding: gzip instead of gzipping the js-file (which is sent as application/x-gzip). See http://jwatt.org/svg/authoring/ for more on gzip serving.
