I am surprised you would find WebEngine complicated for simple slide-
show type stuff. In any event, you could try SiteSpinner - 
http://www.sitespinner.com - it does not include the interactive 
animation features found in WebEngine, but it still exports to SVG. 
Then again, you could try WebDwarf - http://www.webdwarf.com - this 
tool is used to teach kids web design, so you can't get much simpler. 
It will only export a single page at a time, but it does export to 
SVG.
