I can add tests of Squiggle made with Batik. Versions 1.6, 1.7, and a prerelease 1.8 all generate an exception. The message is 'null' and exception appears to start at org.apache.batik.swing.svg.GVTTreeBuilder.run
and scrolls completely out of the screen buffer. G.
