Ugh, it's been so long since I've played. However, I remember I liked Undead a lot because of their ability to paralyze. That won a lot of battles for me. One thing that impressed me though, was the balance of the game. I had a lot of fun learning to play all the sides...and was eventually equally successful with them all. However, I found Dwarves to be the most difficult.

The only problem with Disciples was that it never had a large fan base, which meant it was REALLY hard to find people to play online. with HOMM III you can ALWAYS find a game on the zone.
