What I came accross after more hours of searching was that the new GCC had
some changes that didn't comply well with the code (I actually read up some
technical documents and found out that my make problem could be solved by
adding an #include <cstring> at the top of swft_css.cpp - the reason that
this happens with GCC is because from what I read, they wanted to boost
performance, but as a payoff, programmers have to actually take care of
their header files).

But finally I had a deus ex machina momment as I found an rpm for my distro
(though I couldn't find it in any popular rpm search engines).
