You need to sudo apt-get install libtool

If you still can't get it to work, I can provide a 64 bit Linux binary
if that's any help to you. My build server is a 64 bit system and I
haven't got it set up for 32 bit builds yet. Alternatively I could
provide an unofficial source release (with autogen.sh pre-run, so you
just need to run configure && make).

Alternatively I'm willing to help with any problems you have... it
does make my life easier as maintainer if other people are able to
build from bzr :).

As an aside, I am quite tempted to move away from autotools and
friends because, while they are very flexible, few people seem to
really understand how they work. If I am honest I am not one of those
few. At the very least swfmill's build system needs some serious work
-- although that isn't related to this problem :)

Cheers,
Dan.
