I did notice, while doing a little more intense searching that Bobby replied to a similar question 'With static publishing your alternative content should still be in your DOM (and should therefore be accessible for DOM scripting), because we let the object element itself do the filtering. " But I'm not sure what that means. Do you mean after the content is replaced I should still be able to access the previous content? If so, how?
