i know it's a bit late, but how can i check the returncode oft he command?
Is there a hint anywhere?

||You can't- the shapes in the PDF are not converted 1:1 to the SWF.

||A reasonable approach is to just run pdf2swf, check the return code,

||then rerun it as "pdf2swf -O1" (and then "pdf2swf -O2") in case an
||error occured.
