Sorry I need to pass on this one.

I remember reading a thread about shared hosts though.

Did you try a search in the archives?

Thanks for the reply, Andreas,

I'm installing swftools on a shared host, so it can't install the executables in /user/local/bin. Is there a way to set a flag to put them in a different directory?

Thanks!
Chris

So it seems to be install just fine.
Usaually the pdf2swf can be found in /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin depending on your distribution (if I'm right)

Try to reload your bash, then type pdf2swf hit enter and it should find the binary.

Hope I could help you.

Hi folks,

I'm new to this mailing list, and not a very skillful command line user, so forgive me if this is mis-posted or the question is too basic.

When I compile swftools for linux, I don't see any pdf2swf files. The make process appears to go smoothly, but from there I don't see pdf2swf when I grep for a file.

Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Chris
